TIAN ZHANG

Tian Zhang is a multidisciplinary creative designer whose practice spans digital art, graphic design, digital avatar design, installation art, fashion design, virtual fashion photography, and performance. By integrating visual storytelling with diverse media, her work expands the possibilities of imagination, focuses on those unspoken feelings and the subtle bodily perceptions of the surrounding.

Tian earned her Master of Fine Arts from the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong in 2022. She has worked as an avatar designer in the performing arts field, creating virtual avatars for performance projects by incorporating techniques such as custom design, 3D modeling, and motion capture，designing virtual avatars for the renowned Singaporean contemporary dance company T.H.E Dance Company’s production Strangely Familiar, as well as for dancer-artist Zelia ZZ Tan’s performance Living Landscape and West Kowloon Free Dance Stage performance REfract. In 2022, her work Nature Blindness was exhibited at the "Hong Kong Forward 2022" exhibition at 10 Chancery Lane Gallery. In 2021, she took part in the 7th iSTART Children’s Art Festival at the A4 Art Museum in Chengdu and the "Art of the Gap – Group Show" in Berlin, Germany. Additionally, she has received the Apparel, Textile, and Technology Education Fund from the China National Textile and Apparel Council.
